Simply the best

My addiction

19 March 2008

Almost there

It's almost sad - I have come near to the end of my Swiss photos - but that's OK I only have about 5 more holidays to scrap, that I've never really done as I was so overwhelmed by the number of photos! Now that I'm on a roll with this simpler style for holiday pics I think I might just get stuck into another holiday LOL.

So a few more LO's from Switzerland today, I'm quite proud of the panorama as I took the photos deliberatley so I could stitch them together and It's not such a  bad job either! IT was taken from Bernina pass or (sewing machine pass as I began calling it!)

And these are only just a few photos of the "cows with bells" The swiss think I'm absolutely mad, but it's just so cute, and you can hear the tinkling of bells all over the countryside, it's quite melodic and not irritating at all - although as a visitor I might have slightly rose coloured glasses!

Next!

Hi

how cool a short week again! love that oooh and then next week another one! yehaa!

Tomorrow I'll be off to the school again - it's bunny brunch time! The kids put on a  short play and sing songs, then we all have a yummy bunny brunch together. - I have to admit that I haven't stayed for the past few years - work gets in the way and after you've been to several of these you do tend to lose the excitement edge that was there the first time with your first child, or even the first time with your second child!

But this year (and this is almost perverse!) I can't wait to go and I'm getting all misty eyed! WHY?? well it's my last one - This is for the junior school only and after grade 3 there is NO BUNNY BRUNCH! Where did my baby go?, Why didn't I make myself go the last few years? yes I am constantly berating myself now - I'm sure it will pass and I'll forgive myself.

For all those committed people out there

yes a few more pages - my supplies should be waiting for me up at the PO so I thought I'd post a few more pages from teh travel album.

A quiet weekend here this weekend, the kids are at their fathers and Sian has to sing in the choir tonite at the lake.

Declan finally got the all clear on his broken arm yesterday at the hospital. Had to laugh as the surgeon took one look at the x-rays and said "Oh I remember you!" Apparently in fine form Declan had one of the rarest of rare fractures! in the doc's words - it was "rare squared" LOL. Anyway we can resume normal duties now so it will be back to Judo next week!

Take care - I hop you all have a great weekend!

a few more before the stocks arrive

A busy week with schools and stuff - Declan's birthday is sneaking up fast, so I'm downloading forms for the reptile license and information on keeping them. Then I have to find a lizard of some description as well! Blue tongue or Bearded dragon? Then there is the enclosure and of course UV lights and heat lamps for the winter!

Oh well at least it's not a snake! :-)

Anyway a few more from the travelogue - the kids want me to do the NZ trip next, and see their smiling faces all over the pages!

stocks are running low

sadly my cardstock and my photo papers are running low so I will have to slow down for a while, but then again I have been doing about 5 LO's a day and only sharing 3, so maybe I will be able to make them last until new supplies arrive! LOL

more of the travel log

Had a wonderful day today - albeit a very early start! 96.5 FM broadcast from the kids school this morning and it was a nice one and foggy at 6am I can tell you. Once that coffee van got organised we were all happy!

After that the channel 7 chopper came with John Schluter and his weather show - quite exciting! Now I managed to spot Sian in teh footage on the 7 weather report tonite and texted Sian at her fathers to say I saw her - they had forgotten to put the news on and missed it! Of course I assumed that they had it on and didn't tape it! Silly Mummy! - Soooo if anyone happens to have that on tape - it's worth it's weight in gold to me! :-)

Now for just a few more LO's from our Swiss trip!

travel with me

Hi again

yes more of my travel pics! hope you are enjoying them. But as I press on I realise it's a pretty mammoth task I am undertaking and am having some difficulty deciding whic photos to use - waaaay too many that I love and then there are steve's photos as well! eeeeeeeeeekk!

And I do have to ask Mr Bazzill why is it that all my white letter size sheets are about 1 1/2 mm wider than the green and the blue is about 2 mm shorter than the green??? - it doesn't lok as noticeable in the album but when scanning WELL!

It's probably not teh best day for scrapping either, as Declan has said for a while he would like to ride to school. Now when the kids were younger we lived closer to the school and walked all the time but now it's a half hour walk for me and with the kids about 3/4 hour, so that wasn't really an option for everyday. So now he is proficient on the bike I thought well that's good for both of us, maybe remove some of that scrappers spread! But ooooh! I had forgotten how those bike seats hurt especially the second day until you get used to them again. I'm really liking standing at the moment! Fingers crossed I recover over the weekend!

Anyway here's the next selection from Switzerland!Switzerland_1_2 Switzerland_2

I'm on a roll

Ok I know I wouldn't be posting so much if I wasn't doing my travel album - so it's a bit of a cheat!

I've just heard from an old friend that I had lost touch with and it's so lovely to catch up again, I need to sit down today and write a long email, so nice hearing from him.

Declan is having fun with the animals again too - today for the second time we took a collection of tadpoles to school for his class to watch. Last time there must have been something leeching out of the plastic as the tadpoles would all slowly die. ARGHHH good one Lisa bring in a tank so the kids can all watch them slowly perish! Anyway these ones have been in this tank for 5 days now and are thriving so I think we are safe!

OK time to share - here's a few LO's from last night.

03 March 2008

Hellooooo there's an echo in here!

:-) well yes I decided to stop blogging but here I am again, *sigh* just can't keep away.

One of the main reasons is that I have started scrapping more again - well OK it's just cos I'm doing a book of holiday photos from last year and I'm doing it in a very simple style, so you could say I am speed scrapping!

It does seem to be getting the creative juices flowing too, so I'll keep popping in and sharing some of the travel LO's as I do them.

And don't all of you pretend that you have never had a scrapping drought either, sometimes it juts slows down - I suppose you have to have time off to take photos to scrap anyway!Hong_kong_1_2 Hong_kong_3_4 Hong_kong_5_7_6

slightly deranged

well you'll all think I am slightly deranged :-) I'm here to talk about vacuuming! and yes I know the cardinal ruleis never give a woman an appliance as a gift but I'd be very happy if someone had given me one of these and dare I say would actually contemplate giving one as a gift too!

Now vacuuming to me comes second after ironing as the most distasteful activity in the universe, so why am I all big kev about this one? - it's an auto vac - a little robotic creature that stands about 10 cm high so it can go under all your tables chairs etc (clever huh?) charge it up turn it on and away it goes vacuuming for you, leave it on when you go to work - the battery only last about an hour and it's very thorough so it won't do the whole house, but hey there's always tomorrow!

It even come with a remote so if you want to be really pedantic you can sit back with a cuppa and a magazine and direct it exactly where you want it to go - hmmmm I think even the kids could do this - well they love remote controlled cars and stuff this isn't THAT different is it?

Best thing it has a homing device so when the battery is getting low it looks for the charger homes in on it attaches and recharges itself ready to go again!

So sorry I have to go and sip my wine while I direct from above and watch TV.
