pinch and a punch!

OK - I know I know I'm a day early - but hey you know me - do you REALLY think I'll get back here tomorrow????? naaaaah!

Sian is off at Guide camp this weekend so we had the drive down to Burleigh Heads this morning thorugh all the rain and mud LOL - nice to have the rain around before our dry. It does seem to have cleared up, probably that vicious wind driving it away! So Declan and I are having mum son time this weekend - although sssssh he's just taken himself off to his room and is throwing rubbish and old stuff out - has made his bed neatly and is having  a massive clean - out - all on his own no nagging! Now I like that!

Not much more to report than that this week. so here's a few more NZ LO's. I've just odered my cardstock from Remember When for the next album - bad bad bazill though have you heard they are discontinuing all the chatterbox and Places we Love cardstocks Arghhhhhh my favourites - Lets hope that means that there will be some wonderful new choices to be made though.

school fetes, holidays and more NZ

I hope everyone had a great weekend! we had the 2 yearly school fete and all went well - Sian bemoaned the fact that it was only every 2 years and I had to explain how much effort goes into these things and how it always seems to be the same people doing the organising and that it's not really fair to ask them to do it every year! now I don't really come into that category myself but seeing as Bruce had the kids for the weekend this year I made sure I was there helping at the stalls, it was lots of fun chatting to other parents and seeing the smiles on the kids faces. I'll bet they were exhausted by the end of it all - and they did stay for the fireworks so it must have been a looooong day!

It's getting very close to time for us to head over to the UK again - I've been all nostalgic and looking at some of the old photos from the 04 trip and there are some great pics!  Declan still looked like a little cherub he was so young! and you can really see how much Sian has matured as well. Now while I did scrap some pages of that trip I never realy did an album of the whole holiday, so it might just be my next project a matched album similar to my last 2 but on the UK holiday - hmmm then I'll have the 08 UK trip to do in a few months as well ROFL. Sadly Sian got all misty eyed as she saw the happy family faces and Dad in there too, of course there are no more photos like that and she misses it understandably, I still hope that one day she will come to terms with it all.

So a little share - some more of the NZ LO's

resuming normal transmission

here we go again - I had a mammoth effort last night and completed the New Zealand album - so now onto yet another holiday that I haven't completed scrapping (:-)

so choose a colour scheme and LO - pick an album and I'll be away again! although I do have a few other projects to work on now that I have been so busy with these few travel albums!

Of course there is the other childrens projects I need to help with this afternoon! - Declan needs to make a hat from recycled materials - planning on using an old jumper of his for this - it does involve some sewing so I think I might be the master of that part!

It's one of those nice cruisy weekends at home, the silverside is smelling delish - cooking away in the crock pot, a cake is in the oven and the car has at last been washed - possibly something to do with the kids having written "wash me" all over it in the last few weeks - VERY FUNNY - NOT!. Possibly partly to do with the overwhelming amount of water we got last night that I need to get rid of as well - nice to see so much pour down, just hope it went into the dams too, although I did notice it pouring out to sea late last night still - what a waste!

so here are a few more pages form NZ - but don't despair there are still heaps more here that I need to share!

A break from usual transmission

yes a break from the travel albums LOL

recently I was invited, along with lots of other talented australian and new zealand girls to participate in a Fiskars project, which was loads of fun if a bit challenging at times (:-)  I'll share a coupe here tonite and some more later in the week. I'm sure all the other ladies will share too - some AWESOME work was done.

A big thankyou to Fiskars for asking me to take part!

Mothers Day

ahh a long absence yet again. - how was mothers day for you? Sadly due to disorganisation on the ex's part I missed out on seeing the ten tenors at Sirromet. However I did have a lovely afternoon with the kids instead. To see the excitement in their eyes and how proud they were to have me as a Mum warmed the heart and soul.

Declan spent his pocket money on a cute little snow dome pen holder - well oil dome if that makes sense. Someone suggested to him that it wasn't appropriate and not to buy it, but his big sister stood up for him and said that I would love it, so he had his way.

So - appropriate soaps or chocolates (which I don't really need)? or snow dome chosen with love and thoughtfulness, which do I prefer - snow dome honey all the way!

It reminds me of when I was in grade 3 - we didn't really get pocket money so I begged and begged Mum for some money (not that I told her what it was for but I'll bet she knew) so I could buy her something at the stall at school. So with my few coins the cutest thing I could buy was a little cushion for buffing up shoes with. - Now it did get used more for us to clean our school shoes with than any of mum's shoes. But it's still there with the other shoe cleaning gear and we look at it and smile.

I look at them and wish that I could wrap them up and save them from all the nastiness of life, but I know I can't forever.

So - to share some more of our adventures together, the children and I! Onwards to New Zealand again!New_zealand_4 New_zealand_5 New_zealand_6 New_zealand_7
