lucky cats
just popping in for a flying visit! These are what the craze id all about at our house for now - they are 3d papercraft by canon. Some are waaaaayyyy too intricate but lots are easy enough for the kids on their own or as a joint project. This one is a Japenese Manekineko or lucky cat, we need to do the one beckoning for money LOL.
Sian has to do Free choice homework once a week and at the moment she is doing a model a week - the first one I had to help her with a bit but I think she has the hang of them now. we've done the giant Panda and this cat, planning to do the emperor penguin next on her own. I have to admit they are pretty cute!
We have been going back to the Bunya Mountains a bit lately and the theme for the portal at Blue Bazaar was animals last week, so I figured the perfect place to showcase all these pics from the Bunyas.
I did try mounting it on a 12 x 12 but it just didn't have the same feeling - so I wnet with leaving it as an 'off the page' 8 1/2 x 11. I think I like that too - must try another one. Of course fitting it in a page protector becomes a problem - guess I'll just have to leave it out to admire :-)).
